Premises Update

The Expansion Plan continues to progress well at the school. September will see a new Science Laboratory, a new Food Tech Room and a new Humanities Classroom. We also expect to have the new Tennis/Netball Courts in position.

We are currently putting together funding bids to establish an all-weather cover for the Tennis and Netball courts so they can be used all year around in all weathers and also to provide evening play for both the school and the wider community. The cover will be fitted with a full internal lighting system thereby providing complete illumination for the courts. We are looking to engage with any local community sports partners who would like to get involved with the project. We would also be grateful for any financial donations to the project through the School’s development fund. Payments can be made either via the School Gateway or by sending in a cheque to the school. If you can Gift Aid your contribution that will add further funds to the project.

The next phase of the Expansion Plan is also reaching the planning stage this summer with a view to construction starting in early 2020. This will provide a new Sports Hall and two-storey Maths and English teaching block. We will also be refurbishing several areas of the existing school to improve and increase our facilities. An exciting future for HGSS.
