SPORTS
CO-ORDINATOR
HOLMER GREEN FAMILY OF SCHOOLS
MR LINDSAY
My role is to support schools to produce physically active students. We are all made to be physically active. I often ask students - what would happen to our body and our muscles if we never used them? Not all students naturally like sport but we can all develop a physically active lifestyle and we need to do this to stay healthy.
I work on behalf of the Holmer Green Family of Schools, which consists of Lee Common First School, Holmer Green First School, Holmer Green Junior School, Little Kingshill School and Holmer Green Senior School. I help schools by:
- Supporting existing school teams and clubs
- Finding additional coaches to visit the school in a range of activities including: yoga, cheerleading, golf, trampolining, tennis, rugby, boxercise and swimming.
- Providing training support to anyone who wishes to live actively
- Obtaining grants to buy extra sports equipment
- Building partnerships with local sports clubs
I also offer coaching in a range of subjects including football, leadership, cycling, circuit and fitness training, multi-skills, positive play, yoga, tag and touch rugby, boxercise, tennis, and fitness games.
