The Humanities Faculty at Holmer Green Senior School comprises of
Geography, History and RE are taught as separate subjects, with 3 lessons every fortnight for Geography and History at KS3 and 2 for RE. At KS4, students have 5 hours per fortnight of their chosen GCSE subjects, with 2 hours of RE.
PSHCE is delivered in a number of ways including subject specific links, tutor time, assemblies and Enterprise Days. All teaching staff contribute to the delivery of PSHCE.
The Humanities Faculty is a forward thinking and progressive area of the school. Teaching and learning is our key priority. The increasing numbers opting for Humanities subjects together with high attainment reflects positive relationships within the Faculty and a willingness by all to succeed.
